Merpati Putih is one of  any pencak silat in Indonesia as the Indonesian culture. Perguruan Merpati Putih is formed on April 2nd 1963 in Jogjakarta by Poerwoto Hadi Purnomo and alm.Budi Santoso Hadi Purnomo from the guru, Saring Hadi Poernomo.
I joined Merpati Putih since I was in grade 10, which is in SMA Negeri 2 Temanggung.
For me, Merpatih Putih is not only a self defense. It's a way of my life. From Allah SWT exactly. I have gone to Semarang, Wonosobo, Jogjakarta and Jakarta because of Merpati Putih. My family was not reach enough to take me to onother place, except Temanggung.
I have a family in Merpati Putih. I have closeness with my friends in SMAN 2 Temanggung, with my coach. I got sincerity and the kinship that I have never get from my family. I do not deny anymore if in our adolescents, our friends are more important than our family. I agree with the teory from.....
I win a competition for the first time because of Merpati Putih. I was waiting for 10 years to get a winning in a competition. So many competition that I followed and no winning.
I got the 1st winner of Kejuaraan Daerah Pencak Silat 2008 and for the same competition in 2009 I was the 1st winner too in Temanggung regency. And then, I got a change to join in Pencak Silat competition in Jogjakarta for Pencak Silat Invitation which is held by UNY (Public University of Jogjakarta) on March 2009. And I was the 3rd winner.
